Sheffield Film Festival: Voices Unbound - QTIBPOC Cinema Club 18
Sheffield Film Festival proudly presents Voices Unbound with QTIBPOC Cinema Club.
Winners of The Best New
Community Cinema Award at this year’s Cinema for All Film Society of the Year
Awards, QTIBPOC Cinema Club bring their community cinema programming to
Showroom for a special Sheffield Film Festival event.
QTIBPOC
Cinema Club is a once a month meet up at Gut Level to watch a movie that
disrupts colonial and straight narratives, or uplifts global QTIBPOC stories (Queer, Trans, and Intersex Black People and People of Colour).
The QTIBPOC Cinema Clubs fosters a space where our narratives are given space
to breathe and be celebrated, where we can come together to chat and socialise!
Come
join us for a celebration of QTIBPOC voices on screen as follows:
BAYANIHAN WITH LOVE: CHAMPORADO (CHOCOLATE RICE) by
Richard Peralta
Winnats Pass, Peak District by Nadia Emam
BABA by Adam Ali
Still We Thrive by Campbell X
Dfiza by Savannah Acquah
The Wanderlust Women by Frit Tam
The event will include an open discussion.
Please
note, unlike the monthly QTIBPOC Cinema club, which is exclusively for QTIBPOC
folks, this event at the showroom is open to friends and allies too. There will be zero tolerance of any racism,
misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia or ableism.
Please
join with love and respect.
