Sheffield Loves Anime
In partnership with Anime LTD - the masterminds behind Scotland Loves Anime - we’re delighted to present our first Anime Festival: Sheffield Loves Anime. Taking place over one weekend, our festival will have a packed film programme, brimming with cult and contemporary anime. For this year we’ll also be presenting a special focus on women-writers with screenings of Maquia and A Silent Voice.
Full passes will be available for the festival – the cheapest way to see all the films. These are priced at £65 for a full adult pass, £49 concessions, £31 Cine26. These get you access to all 8 films in the programme, working out as one free film! Passes are only available to people over 18.
There will also be limited individual tickets available for each screening if you just want to see a few of the films.
As part of our Sheffield Loves Anime festival, we’re partnering with other local independent businesses to host Japanese-themed events across the weekend in our café bar.
On Saturday 20 November, Treehouse Board Game Café will host an afternoon of games from 12pm until 3pm. Get stuck into a wide range of games, Japan-themed and beyond… Staff members from Treehouse will also be on-hand to help with any gaming queries.
For Sunday 21 November's activity, we've invited internationally renowned graffiti artist Trik 09 to teach the fundaments of drawing anime characters from 11 am - 12 pm.
Please note: both of these events are now fully booked.
