Shorta 15
Shorta is a tense Danish thriller, which begins with two Danish police officers, Jens and Mike on their routine patrol of Copenhagen’s Svalegården's ghetto. When a call comes through the radio announcing the death of a young Muslim man in police custody, the surrounding area erupts in protests, with the community rising up against the establishment sworn to protect it. Shorta allows the audience to make their own conclusions about the two main characters, upending the typical good cop/bad cop dynamic and creating a charged portrait of two characters in a propulsive and forceful film.
