An innocent caravan tour of the North of England turns violent in this hilarious and pitch-black horror comedy from director Ben Wheatley. Alice Lowe and Steve Oram are brilliant as the nerdish Tina and Chris (think Bonnie & Clyde in anoraks) whose romantic getaway takes a bloody and murderous turn.
The idea of two seemingly ordinary campers who turn out to be serial killers was originally developed by Lowe and Oram for the stage, and their collaboration with Wheatley here brings the dark humour that has always been an element of his films to the surface. Brilliantly blending the mundane with the outlandishly violent, after watching this unique and very funny film you’ll never think of the Keswick Pencil Museum in the same way again.
