Some of the best snow films from around the world.

  1. Dynastar - Transmission 27 minutes

The film explores intergenerational links and the transmission of know-how in different disciplines between pairs of skiers.Dynastar will serve as a common thread, creating a link between each athlete and highlighting the spirit of union and transmission within this worldwide ski community.

  2. Ravinos 25 minutes

Travel back to Vail, Colorado in the early 1970s, where the Ravinos challenged mainstream culture and sparked a revolution in extreme skiing. Identifiable by the iconic flaming skull insignia patches on their cutoff denim jackets, the Ravinos gained prominence by hosting parties on St. Patricks Day to showcase inverted aerials. The crowds grew bigger and rowdier and eventually led to them being shutdown by the authorities. After a 30 year hiatus, descendants of the original Ravinos discovered their parent’s patches in the late 2000s. With a new vision of becoming ambassadors for the mountain, they have carefully regained access to the original location (a 20ft cliff gap called the 'Wailer') and continue to fight for acceptance and belonging. Meet recent and hopeful ‘prospects’ as they attempt to backflip down the ‘Wailer’ gap – the only way to earn a coveted patch. Against the backdrop of a busy mountain town, they continue to challenge authorities to do right by the community and foster future generations of Ravinos.

  3. Here, Hold My Kid 39 minutes

A ski comedy film chronicling two professional female skiers who are trying to embrace new motherhood without missing a turn in their heart-stopping athletic careers. The two women, who are competitive by nature as they’ve built their professional status on podiums and award winning film segments, can’t help but develop a competitiveness with each other in the quest to becoming “the mom that can do it all.” From the pressures we bring upon ourselves to societal expectations, the characters will come at it with a hilarious, sometimes bordering on ridiculousness, take. With babies and husbands in tow, these two mothers are taking the ski industry by storm in a way that was never quite seen before. From exhaustion to laughter, discomfort to fun, this will be a movie to which anyone can relate regardless of their athletic prowess. The heart of this film is an homage to all the parents who have dragged their kids to the mountains “because skiing is a great way to spend time together."
