Joanna Eberhart moves to the suburban town of Stepford with her family. The 'perfect' town seems a little too perfect. The women of the town are shallow, subservient and devoted to housework. The men of the town live in harmony with their glass-eyed wives. Joanna teams up with another recent resident to uncover the dark secrets of Stepford.
With speaker Professor Adam Piette
Prof. Adam Piette's primary research is in war studies, with two monographs on Second World War and Cold War texts and culture. His current work concentrates on the construction of Europe during the Cold War, and the legacy of the Cold War post-1989 in terms of militarization, globalized technology and secret state / warfare state international relations as represented in the new cultural ‘wars’. of the late 20th and 21st centuries.
