Farewell, The (Baby Friendly Screening) PG

In this uplifting comedy drama, the headstrong Chinese-born, US-raised Billi returns to her hometown in China after her grandmother is diagnosed with terminal cancer. On her arrival however, she realises that the family have decided to keep the news from their beloved matriarch Nai-Nai, instead gathering under the joyful guise of a hastily planned wedding, to unite the family around her one last time.

As Billi navigates a minefield of family expectations, she finds there’s a lot to celebrate: a chance to rediscover the country she left as a child, her grandmother’s wondrous spirit, and the ties that keep on binding even when so much goes unspoken.
