A true visionary, Sean Baker - director of the outstanding iPhone-shot Tangerine - returns with the hotly-anticipated The Florida Project. Brooklynn Prince is 6-year-old Moonee, who lives with her mother, Halley, in the housing projects that lie in the shadow of Disney World.
We follow Moonee and her friends as they fill their summer break with ice creams and adventures, while the adults around them struggle through hard times. The emotional depth and diversity of characters living on the fringes of society is expertly handled, as Baker colourfully captures a portrait of childhood from an underrepresented America.
