The Harder They Fall 15
The Harder They Fall is the directorial debut of singer-songwriter Jaymes Samuel, also known as The Bullitts. The film is a reworking of the story of Nat Love, an African-American cowboy and one of the most famous Black heroes of the Old West. When Love discovers that his enemy, Rufus Buck, is being released from prison, he rounds up his old gang to track Buck down and seek revenge.
A visually bold and accomplished debut feature, The Harder they Fall is an impressive take on the American Western, highlighting the Black outlaws and lawmen who have often been ignored in both the history and the cinema of the Old West.
