Tramlines 2015
LIVE MUSIC/FILMS/DJS. IT'S TRAMLINES AT THE SHOWROOM!
Tramlines is back with easily one of the biggest and best line-ups Sheffield has ever seen. The Charlatans, Wu-Tang Clan, The Buzzcocks plus countless others will be gracing the stages and venues of the city. The Showroom is delighted to announce our Tramlines schedule, which features young, upcoming artists alongside some classic music films . Enjoy a burger from our specialty BBQ, expertly prepared by the café bar staff. Friday kicks things off with three live indie acts in the Showroom bar, Saturday features live music all day and our very own Simon's Hip Hop Hooray all night, the perfect start to a weekend of hip-hop at the Ponderosa.
We couldn't do Tramlines without showing some music films, and we've got three of the best music documentaries ever made for those who want to escape the crowds and put their feet up (but not on the seats, please). Stones in the Park and Woodstock capture 60's spirit, when Jagger and Jimi ruled the stage and revolution was in the air. The Last Waltz, directed by Martin Scorsese and featuring performances from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton amongst others, tells the story of the seminal final concert by rockers The Band.

In 1969, 500,000 people descended on a small patch of field in a little-known town in upstate New York called Woodstock. This seminal documentary covers the festival in unflinching detail; from the event's inception all the way through to the unexpected air-delivery of food and medical supplies by the National Guard. The film contains performances, interviews with the artists and candid footage of the fans in a defining portrait of 1960s America.
