We Are Poets 15

Roundabout is Sheffield’s local youth housing charity, and provides shelter, support and life skills to young people. They have launched a fundraising appeal, and for this special Christmas event, Roundabout is delighted to host a screening of the multi award-winning, We Are Poets: an inspiring, imaginative and uniquely honest film, which is a moving testament to the power of creativity, community and the dynamism of young people. A team of six young poets journey from their inner-city lives in Yorkshire to a stage infront of the White House in Washington DC, as they are chosen to represent the UK at Brave New Voices: the most prestigious poetry slam competition in the world. Winner of the Youth Jury Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2011.

All proceeds from ticket sales will raise money for the Roundabout hostel refurbishment appeal.
