Dead Man's Shoes + Hate Crime short film 18
Showroom Cinema is proud to announce on 3rd December 2016, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, in partnership with Disability Sheffield and Warp Films, we will be screening the BAFTA nominated film Dead Man’s Shoes at 2.30pm. The cult classic film directed by acclaimed British director Shane Meadows (This is England) and co-written/starring Paddy Considine takes a stark look at the effects of disability hate crime. This exciting opportunity also gives attendees the chance to see the Sheffield Voices Hate Crime short film on the big screen for the first time. The short film raises numerous issues about disability hate crime, and encourages all of us to not only talk about those issues, but take action. A percentage of proceeds from this screening will go directly to Disability Sheffield, helping the charity to continue to provide vital support to disabled people throughout Sheffield.
