The Festival of Debate will take place in the run-up to the next General Election on May 7th, consisting of a series of debates, panel discussions, Q&As and keynote speaker events across March and through to the end of April. The festival is curated by Opus Independents and Now Then.

As part of the festival, we are proud to present: Fairness on the 83. This is a film project which traces the 83 bus on its journey across Sheffield, linking Millhouses in the South with Ecclesfield in the North. Throughout the project, makers of the film engaged members of the public in discussion about inequality within their city, encouraging debate on pressing topics and exploring what can be done to make Sheffield a fairer city overall. The project will be exhibited at the Showroom from the 31st of March to the 1st May.

Fairness on the 83 is a project centred primarily on video interviews and an interactive map, which you can explore here: http://nowthenmagazine.com/fairnessonthe83/
