Family Time: Soul PG
This week’s Family Time screening asks the question; what is it that makes you...YOU?
Soul follows Joe Gardner - a middle-school band teacher who has a passion for jazz. Joe wants more than anything to become a professional jazz pianist, so when he’s offered a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with one of the greats, Joe feels he’s reached the top of the ultimate mountain.
But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth.
Making its big screen debut, following a pandemic-impacted release, this is a beautiful film worth immersing yourself in.
A short animated film will be played ahead of the main feature - a longstanding Disney Pixar tradition!
Soul is rated PG, as it contains mild bad language and fantasy threat. For fans of Inside Out, Coco, and Wall-E.
Family Time screenings are relaxed and feature subtitles and low-level lighting for accessibility and comfort for all. All tickets are £5. Please find more information about Family Time here.
