Anne Rose Holmer’s feature-length debut tells the story of 11-year-old Toni, a Cincinnati tomboy who spends her days in the boxing gym with her older brother. Fascinated by a local all-girl dance troupe, the Lionesses, Toni signs up, only for a mysterious wave of seizures to strike the group.
Reminiscent of Carol Morley’s incredible The Falling, The Fits is a deeply arresting and visually striking film, powered by strong performances and a captivating score.
