Stockholm 1982 - 13-year-old Bobo and her best friend Klara spend their evenings listening to punk rock on their Walkmans, speaking to each other on the telephone and being mortified by how uncool their parents are. Everything changes when they get their hands on a drum kit, a bass guitar, and most crucially, a microphone. Now all they need is a guitarist, and they set their sights on their straight-laced Christian classmate.
