How you can help us
At Showroom we still want to go above and beyond the Government's safety recommendations.
If you are concerned about sitting too close to other people, please speak to our Box office team who will be able to advise you on our quieter screenings.
Seat reservations are now available on film screenings at weekends and after 5pm on weekdays.
We are advising everyone to book online before visiting the cinema.
Tickets – once you’ve booked online, you won’t need to print your ticket when you arrive. To aid social distancing and our health and safety practices, we will just ask to see proof of purchase via your phone or printed email confirmation. To help us with this, please make sure all your party arrives to be seated within the cinema at the same time.
Wheelchair spaces will be available to book. Please call Box Office (0114 275 7727) to arrange this alongside pre-booking any companion seats. If you have any specific accesses needs, please contact our Box Office team before your visit.
For ticket holders who have any symptoms of COVID19, please let us know as soon as possible, before your screening is due to take place and we will be able to offer an alternative ticket. If you are not sure when you will be able to return to the cinema, there is also the option to donate the price of your ticket to the Showroom, as a registered charity.
In the event the Government once again closes indoor hospitality venues due to an increase in COVID 19 infection levels, an exchange or full refund will be available to anyone who has pre-ordered tickets.
Hand sanitiser stations
Keeping your hands clean is key. We ask that you wash your hands regularly while with us and use the hand sanitiser stations that have been installed around the building.
Customer toilets will be regularly checked throughout the day. Due to the size of our bathrooms, we ask that you try to socially distance where possible. In our smaller bethrooms, please wait outside the room if more than two people are already using the facilities.
When you enter the café bar, please find a free clean table and then place your order at the bar.
Our kitchen operates at a 5-star food and hygiene safety standard, and we will continue to build on this.
All staff are required to hand wash and sanitise regularly.
Booking in advance is available by completing our café bar contact form or you can pop in to see if tables are available on the day.
Additional cleaning and PPE
All staff are required to hand wash and sanitise regularly and have been provided with additional training on hygiene standards to make sure they can provide a safe service. Part of their training includes an online e-learning module and assessment test on COVID 19 created by the UK Cinema Association.
Additional waste bins have been located around both the cinema and café bar. We have also upgraded our air conditioning system.
Automatic hand sanitising stations have been installed at all entrances and exits, alongside additional sanitising points throughout the building, including all cinema screens.
Our supervisors and managers will audit our systems daily to ensure we are achieving our hygiene controls.
