Boiling Point 15
In Philip Barantini’s Boiling Point Stephen Graham plays Andy, a highly strung head chef at one of London’s top restaurants. On the last Friday before Christmas, Andy is forced to handle the combined pressures of his own personal demons and a surprise visit from health and safety inspectors on the busiest night of the year. Developed as an expansion of his BIFA-nominated short of the same name, Barantini’s film is a nightmarish insight into the high-pressure world of London’s culinary scene.
Shot as one continuous take, and centred around an electrifying performance by Graham, Boiling Point is a compelling and gripping high-stake drama.
