Doc/Fest 2019: Lemebel
UK Premiere
An icon for the Chilean LGBTQ community during years of dictatorship, Chilean writer and artist Pedro Lemebel’s performance art, featuring body, blood and fire, focused on the reality of living in fear in the brutally conservative country. Joanna Garibaldi’s creative portrait of the artist is a kaleidoscope of fragments made in collaboration with Lemebel over the last eight years of his life.
