Family Time: The Super Mario Bros. Movie PG
Revisit the best family-friendly films of 2023 in this special Family Time mini-season. Presented in collaboration with the National Videogame Museum is the smash hit adaptation of the classic Mario game series.
While working underground to fix a water main, brothers Mario and Luigi are transported through a mysterious pipe to a magical new world. But when the siblings are separated, an epic adventure begins.
After the failure of the 1993 live-action Mario adaptation, Nintendo had resisted attempts to adapt their games to film. However, after deciding to work with Minions animation studio Illumination, this second attempt set a new high score for video game adaptations at the box office!
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is rated PG as it contains mild violence and threat. For fans of the Super Mario games, as well as Wreck It Ralph, the Pokémon franchise, and Sonic The Hedgehog.
This screening is presented in partnership with the National Videogame Museum.
Family Time screenings are relaxed and feature subtitles and low-level lighting for accessibility and comfort for all. All tickets are £5. Please find more information about Family Time here.
