From Russia With Love PG
The critically acclaimed 1963 film From Russia With Love was the second in the Bond film series to take adaptation from Ian Fleming’s novels and reach commercial success, becoming a blockbuster in 1960’s cinema. Out to avenge Dr.No crime cartel S.P.E.C.T.R.E seeks to take out 007 (Sean Connery) training the assassin Red Grant (Robert Shaw) to shadow bond and build his trust, until the soviet encryption device “Lektor” is secured. With double the budget, producers perfected the formula laid out by Dr. No and From Russia with Love received a BAFTA for best cinematography. Not without its own conventions From Russia with Love was the first of the bond films to feature John Barry as composer and features a helicopter scene created just for the film – a classic action-packed bond film not to be missed.
