Based on Posy Simmonds’ graphic novel of the same name, the films centres on Gemma and Charles Bovery who move to a small Normandy town. Soon the local baker (Fabrice Luchini) begins to see similarities between the couple and their literary equivalents in Madame Bovary. A charming take on the classic French novel.
