Gone Too Far! + Q&A with Destiny Ekaragha 12A
When London teenager Yemi's big brother comes to live with him from Nigeria, Ikudayisi's terrible fashion sense, broad Yoruba accent and misplaced confidence with the opposite sex threaten to destroy Yemi's already miniscule street cred. When the pair spend the day together on their Peckham estate, Yemi is forced to confront local bullies, the unattainable girl of his dreams and his own African heritage, eventually teaching both of them the values of family and self-respect.
Directed by Destiny Ekarargha, and adapted from the Oliver-winning play by Bola Agbaje, Gone Too Far! is an authentic slice of South London life and a fantastic, freewheeling urban comedy.
- Q&A will be held after the screening with Destiny Ekarargha, named one of BAFTA's 'Breakthrough Brits', and will be hosted by award winning cultural producer, writer and feminist activist, Chardine Taylor-Stone.
