Fellini’s first colour feature film, Juliet of the Spirits,sees the director reunited with his actress wife Giulietta Masina (who also appears in both La Strada and Nights of Cabiria). Masina plays a middle-class housewife who seeks solace in the world of psychics, spirits and seers – a world that Fellini himself had always been fascinated by.
