Mistaken Identity is a poetic short film inspired by real life events. It follows the powerful story of a young Sikh man who confronts prejudice and self-doubt while embracing his cultural roots.

Mistaken identity has stirred heartfelt discussions about the resilience and challenges faced by South Asian communities, particularly the Sikh community, due to their distinct cultural identity and attire.

This screening will be followed by an engaging Q&A with director Jagraj Singh and poet Jasbirr Grover, hosted by Sile Sibanda, about the power of poetry and film to explore themes of belonging, identity, and resilience.
