Inspired by a true story, this heartbreaking film charts the gradual descent of four children into an almost feral state after they are abandoned by their mother in their small Tokyo apartment. Nobody Knows features a stunning central performance from its 12-year old lead, Yuya Yagira, who deservedly won the best actor award at Cannes in 2004.
