Five years ago Robert Thirkell, the iconic TV Troubleshooter with the Midas touch when it comes to making BAFTA-winning documentary series and formats, came to Sheffield to give his C.O.N.F.L.I.C.T. lecture. It was the hit of the F. Ever since, people have been asking him to write it all down. And now his book, C.O.N.F.L.I.C.T. is being launched at Doc/Fest 2010. To mark the occasion he’s being interviewed by Channel 4’s Deputy Head of Documentaries about his extraordinary career in television, his top tips for climbing the ladders and avoiding the snakes of the industry, and his insights into documentary story-telling. As ever it will be full of conflict, mischief and fun.

There will be a glass of wine on arrival, followed by: Robert Thirkell Book Signing + Drinks at 18:45.
