School of Rock 12A
School of Rock is Richard Linklater’s heartwarming and
hilarious musical comedy centred on the transformative and uniting power
of music.
In a career-defining role, Jack Black stars as Dewey Finn, a struggling musician who, after getting kicked out of his own band, finds himself posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. As Dewey discovers the musical talents of his young students, he embarks on as mission to turn them into a true rock band.
An uplifting tale filled with classic rock anthems, Linklater skilfully balances laugh-out-loud comedy with genuine emotion, and builds to an unforgettable finale that blows off the roof.
