Showroom Shorts 100 18

Showroom Shorts 100 will run from 12pm to 6pm, followed by a very special evening celebration of the regular monthly event at 7.30pm in the Café Bar.

It's time to celebrate the 100th Screening of Showroom Shorts, the amazing monthly short film night at the Showroom Cinema, serving audiences in the region for over 11 years!

And what better way to do this than with a proper festival atmosphere.

On18th April, our little film night will expand to a full day of activities. There's going to be a running programme of short films all day at the Showroom Cinema, both a series of best of Showroom Shorts archive films and a whole set of new shorts as well.

Plus, we're going to be hosting a series of talks with filmmakers, and the day will be focused on how to use short films to propel your career. We'll hear from and meet:

• Ben Taylor, Talent Executive, Film Hub North and BFI Network
• Sam Donovan, Director of episodes of The Crown, Humans, Jamestown and most recently the hit show Severance
• Molly Brown, Director of over 50 short films we've screened at Showroom Shorts since 2010
• Ben Wilkinson, Director of the Spirit of Independence Film Festival

...and many more to come!

Plus, we're going to play host to the BFI for a cool drinks mixer with them in the Showroom Bar.

Tickets for this celebration are only £5 for the whole day.
