Spine + Q&A - Creative Lounge CTBA
Spine is a new documentary telling the official story of the Montane Spine Race, which covers the whole of the Pennine Way and has become known as ‘Britain’s Most Brutal Race’.
The Montane Spine Race - a dream of British polar explorer Phil Hayday-Brown was first established in 2012 - has grown from a small grass roots event into an international race renowned around the world.
Covering the whole Pennine Way from south to north in the depths of winter, The Montane Spine Race offered participants an experience like nothing else. Ten years on, in this feature length Spine Race documentary, the filmmakers look back at this incredible event, its origins, how it has developed and dip into some of the astonishing stories along the way.
This screening will be accompanied by a Q&A with the film's directors Ellie Green and Matt Green, the Montane Spine Race Director Phil Hayday-Brown, race volunteer John Bamber and race athlete Steve Brown.
