The Rescue + Q&A 12A
The Rescue chronicles the weeks-long rescue mission that captivated the world in 2018, when 12 boys and their soccer coach became trapped within Tham Luang caves in Northern Thailand. Aged between 11 and 16, the group of boys and their 25 year-old coach found themselves stuck when sudden heavy rains flooded portions of the miles-long cave system, cutting them off deep within. Confined deep below the surface with rising water and little oxygen, their situation seemed dire.
The latest documentary from the BAFTA and Academy Award-winning team behind Free Solo, The Rescue incorporates archive footage, dramatic re-enactments and interviews in an edge-of-your-seat true story of resilience and bravery.
This screening will include an exclusive pre-recorded Q&A with Academy Award winning directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (Free Solo).
