Family Time: Snoopy & Charlie Brown - The Peanuts Movie U

This week at Family Time we celebrate Charles Schultz’s classic Peanuts comic strip, featuring beloved characters Snoopy and Charlie Brown as they come to life on the big screen.

The world’s most treasured underdog, Charlie Brown, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest to win the heart of The Little Red-Haired Girl, while his best pal, lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron.

Peanuts comic strips ran for 50 years, from 1950 to 2000, and continue to have a life in the form of over 50 television specials, merchandise, and internet memes.

This 2015 film was the first time the gang appeared on the big screen in the UK, and the first time the characters were seen in CGI. Thanks to the involvement of Peanuts creator Charles Schultz’s sons, a beautiful mix of 3D and 2D animation was created that captured the instantly recognisable, hand drawn look of the original artwork that captured the hearts of so many whilst still modernising and adding depth for the new generation.

Snoopy & Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is rated U, suitable for all ages. For fans of The Garfield Movie, Captain Underpants, and The Muppet Movie.
