Daphne + Q&A 15
Daphne is a remarkably authentic character study of a quick-witted young woman teetering on the edge of a downward spiral. A sous-chef in a busy London restaurant, Daphne fills her spare hours with alcohol and hook-ups, resisting real human connection. When she witnesses a violent attack it strikes a nerve, forcing her to re-evaluate her life.
Emily Beecham gives a stunning breakout performance as the perpetually unlikeable but mysteriously compelling Daphne in this complex and intimate portrait.
