Young Programmers Festival 2024: The Death of Stalin 15
Found unconscious in his office after a stroke, the ensuing scramble for power among Stalin’s inner circle is captured expertly through Iannucci’s signature dry wit.
The Death of Stalin is one of the most unlikely comedies of our time. Both stunningly hilarious, and well as thought-provoking, this is one film you must see with a crowd.
Part of our Young Programmer film season - Communist History
For our festival, we chose to emphasise the vast, diverse nature of Communist History by selecting from both the genres of comedy, and drama. We initially shortlisted a wide range of films, spanning from historical epics to intimate dramas.
The films we finally chose represent a wide range of different perspectives on the history of the Communist movement, from the romantic drama of two musicians, to a comedy surrounding its biggest leader.
Please note - there will be no trailers before this film! Instead there will be an introduction by our Young Programmers, so do please arrive on time.
