Walt Shaw - performance
Gillian Whiteley - performance
Geoff Bright - performance
In this fourth manifestation of A/S, Gill Whiteley, Walt Shaw and Geoff Bright bring together their ever-so-slightly unhinged paraphernalia of transformational possibility in pursuit, this time, of the power of the name, traces that remain, and the sorcery of the forest arcane. Expect blood, smoke and mirrors, and incantation as ice recalibrates its zero, 77 names of the Trickster are written in skin, and tree lichens leaf the page...
Warning: Probably not for those of a nervous disposition.
Rob Tarana (drums)
Kim Sears (bass)
Tim Crosby (keys)
Hervé Perez (alto sax)
Improvisation that braves melody and harmony as well and free-playing and abstraction. Each player brings a wealth of colours and influences so diverse it is impossible to tell what will happen. The unusual blend may feature hints of dub-jazz, free form modernism, contemporary classical, space rock and trip hop improvisation.
