Special £5 Preview of Love Lies Bleeding at Showroom Cinema

One of the undoubted highlights of the spring film release calendar, Love Lies Bleeding, is opening with a special preview at Showroom Cinema on 30 April. In partnership with MASSIVE, who aim to give young audiences the chance to see some of the most exciting films of the year before anyone else, all tickets for the preview are just £5.

MASSIVE specifically celebrates British filmmaking talent in front of and behind the camera. Love Lies Bleeding is no exception. The queer crime romance is the latest offering from London-born director Rose Glass, the award-winning creative visionary behind psychological horror Saint Maud.

After taking home a clutch of accolades, including Best Debut Director, at the British Independent Film Awards, film fans have been eagerly awaiting Glass’ follow-up film, and she has not disappointed with the sweat-drenched, grimy neo-noir, Love Lies Bleeding.

A career highlight for Kristen Stewart (Twilight, Personal Shopper, Spencer), the film is an unforgettable and singular love story. Stewart plays reclusive gym manager Lou, who falls hard for Jackie (Katy O’Brian), an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream.

Would that it were so simple! The steamy thriller has echoes of the films of the Coen Brothers and David Lynch, as their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family, including a dastardly villainous performance from veteran actor Ed Harris.

Love Lies Bleeding is one of the buzziest films of the year, in part thanks to a star-making turn from Katy O’Brian, whose physicality and charisma in the role of the wayward bodybuilder positively burn up the screen in a performance for the ages. Alongside O’Brian’s electric chemistry with Kristen Stewart, Rose Glass has again delivered a film that will shock, surprise and thrill audiences at every turn.

Produced by A24, a company with near cult status amongst young film fans, and the UK’s own leader in bold independent titles, Film4, Love Lies Bleeding has all the ingredients to be one of the hottest and most highly-acclaimed films of 2024.

There is no doubt that tickets will fly out of the door for the opportunity to see the film first, following wild hype from festival screenings at Sundance, Berlin, and Glasgow, so make sure to book before it’s too late.

Tickets for the MASSIVE preview of Love Lies Bleeding are just £5 and are now on sale now.
