Everything Everywhere All at Once 15
Written and directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (known collectively as “Daniels”), Everything Everywhere All at Once is a wholly original sci-fi action film. Starring Michelle Yeoh as Evelyn Wang, a Chinese-American woman who is swept up in an absurd adventure, the film follows our unlikely hero as she fights bizarre and bewildering dangers. Discovering that she must connect with versions of herself from different parallel universes to prevent their destruction, Evelyn comes face to face with the lives she could have led, as the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
A remarkably original and fresh take on the sci-fi genre, with a powerful emotional core and captivating lead performance from Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All at Once has been one of the darlings of the 2023 awards season, picking up best actress, best director, best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best editing and best original screenplay at the 95th Academy Awards.
