Hirayama lives a life of blissful contentment, spending his days balancing his job as a caretaker of Tokyo’s public toilets with his passion for music, literature, and photography. His structured routine is slowly interrupted by unexpected encounters that force him to reconnect with his past.
Director Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire/Paris, Texas) returns with his next narrative masterpiece, which has been selected by Japan as its entry for Best International Feature at this years Academy Awards.

Showroom Cinema has introduced new Autism Friendly relaxed screenings for 2024. On Saturday mornings, our Family Time strand offers family friendly relaxed screenings. These will now be followed by a relaxed screening every Saturday. Our screenings have no adverts or trailers and offer unallocated seating, large screen space for movement, reduced film sound volume and low lighting during the film.
