Rebellion + Q&A 15
Rebellion is the first feature-length documentary to tell the behind-the-scenes story of the climate action group, Extinction Rebellion from its launch in 2018. Given unprecedented access, the filmmakers follow a group of unlikely allies who have come together to confront the climate emergency and depict the highs and lows of the movement as they crash into the status quo - and each other. The film captures the human drama of social movements first-hand and questions the health of our democracy, as we witness the right to protest come under attack.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A with one of the film’s co-directors, Maia Kenworthy, hosted by Clare Stewart, Interim CEO at Sheffield DocFest.
Please note: This is a special screening with an introduction - there will be no trailers or adverts before the film begins. The event will start at the time stated so please plan your arrival accordingly.
