The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Charity Immersive Screening 18
Showroom Cinema is proud to announce the return of our collaboration with the University of Sheffield Horror Society: A special immersive screening of the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, in support of LGBTQ+ youth charity, SAYiT!
This year on the first day of Pride Month, the iconic film will be brought to life with immersive elements, performances, a fancy-dress competition and special introductions contextualising the representations of trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people on screen.
This will be a night to remember, if it’s your first time seeing Rocky Horror or your fiftieth, all in support of a great cause.
Film Synopsis:
Stranded on an isolated stretch of road, a young couple try to find shelter for the night. Instead, they discover the lair of the mad transvestite scientist Dr Frank-N-Furter, who is just about to reveal his latest creation, Rocky Horror, the ultimate man. Initially seduced by the doctor’s strange sexual magnetism, they are freed when the mansion’s servants take control.
