Arne Dahl is an award-winning Swedish crime novelist whose books have sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. The Swedish television adaptations of the books aired last year on BBC Four in the primetime Saturday night drama slot that made household names of The Killing and The Bridge.
To the Top of the Mountain is the third book in his crime fiction series (the others are The Blinded Man and Bad Blood), which revolves around a tight-knit team of elite specialists who investigate the dark side of Swedish society.
Arne Dahl has won several prestigious awards for his crime fiction, including the German Crime Award and the Danish Crime Writing Award – the only Scandinavian author to win both these prizes. This year he has been shortlisted for the European Crime Fiction Star Award (The Ripper Award) alongside Ian Rankin and Jussi Adler-Olson.
