Rich, stylish, and shallow teen socialite Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) plays Cupid with the hearts of students and teachers alike.
When she decides to befriend and makeover fashionably and socially ‘clueless’ new student Tai Fraiser (Brittany Murphy) in an attempt to elevate Tai’s social status, Cher inadvertently triggers a cascading comedy of errors in her efforts to manipulate the love lives of her family and friends in this teen comedy classic.
Steering her friends’ romantic affections in spite of her own inexperience, Cher’s choices quickly backfire, calling into question who the truly ‘clueless’ one is after all.
An ode to 90’s fashion and attitude alike, Clueless earns its reputation as one of the gems of teen cinema.
An enduring time capsule of iconic nineties fashion (and Paul Rudd’s eternal youth), Clueless successfully draws on the harmless conflicts of Jane Austen’s Emma and tangible teenage woes to create a nostalgic and wholeheartedly enjoyable drama that audiences can’t help but keep coming back to.
