Dead Man's Shoes + Q&A 18
The first feature film produced by Sheffield’s Warp Films, Dead Man’s Shoes, is a modern classic of British cinema. Re-teaming Shane Meadows with an electrifying Paddy Considine, the film is a haunting and unforgettable revenge thriller from the Peak District.
Richard (Paddy Considine) has always protected his little brother Anthony (Toby Kebbell). When Richard leaves the rural village where they have grown up to join the army, Anthony is taken in by Sonny (Gary Stretch), a controlling and vicious local drug dealer, and his gang of lads. Anthony becomes the gang’s pet and plaything, as they initiate him into their sordid ways. 7 years later, Richard returns for revenge.
This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with Mark Herbert, producer of Dead Man’s Shoes.
