Dr Sheldon Hall of Sheffield Hallam University begins his in-depth season on cinema in 1964 with a look at the landscape of British Cinema. 

Were you alive sixty years ago? If you were, what do you remember of the films you saw then? If you weren’t, what do you know about the cinema of 1964?
