Baghdad. The last week of 2006. All over the city, people of different religions are being forced out of their homes on a daily basis and neighborhoods are being divided by concrete walls. At night, under curfew, the residents remain trapped inside their houses…
Our River…Our Sky tells the story of residents of Baghdad as they try to live their lives in the shadow of war, focussing mainly on novelist Sara (Darina Al Joundi) and her daughter Reema (Zainab Joda), who faces the challenges of growing up under uniquely difficult circumstances.
Their story intertwines with those of their friends and neighbours, each attempting to cling onto their city and their home in the face of it all.
