Showroom Spotlight: Tales From a Hard City + Q&A 18
As part of the Showroom Spotlight strand, where films are selected by Showroom members of staff, we present a special one-off screening of Sheffield based documentary, Tales from a Hard City, followed by a Q&A.
The cult documentary follows three young aspiring performers – a singer, a boxer, and a dancer - as they go about their lives and attempt to make names for themselves in the dour economic landscape of Sheffield in the early 1990s. What the film observes is a simultaneously dark and humorous slice of local history.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with producer Alex Usborne and other guests TBC.
