An artist and her elderly mother confront long-buried secrets when they return to a former family home, now a hotel haunted by its mysterious past.
From acclaimed filmmaker Joanna Hogg, this beguiling film features a deeply moving performance by the renowned Tilda Swinton. Following on from the themes of Hogg’s previous The Souvenir and The Souvenir Part II, The Eternal Daughter is a brilliant and captivating exploration of parental relationships and the things we leave behind.
Screenings of The Eternal Daughter on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 November will be accompanied by a 10-minute filmed Q&A featuring actor Tilda Swinton and director Joanna Hogg, discussing the making of and inspirations for the film.
