Turning Red is coming to cinemas for the first time since its release was halted by the pandemic -perfectly timed a week ahead of Mother’s Day!
Disney and Pixar’s future-classic introduces us to Mei Lee, a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence in the early 2000s.
Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!
The hilarious and heart-warming film is full to the brim with references to pop culture, from boy bands to Studio Ghibli. A gem of a film that deserves its moment to shine on the big screen!
A short animated film will be played ahead of the main feature - a longstanding Disney Pixar tradition!
Turning Red is rated PG, as it contains mild threat, sex references, and language. For fans of My Neighbour Totoro, Coco, and Brave.
Family Time screenings are relaxed and feature subtitles and low-level lighting for accessibility and comfort for all. All tickets are £5. Please find more information about Family Time here.
