30 years since it’s original release, The Nightmare Before Christmas returns to spook and delight a new generation!
Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, is getting tired of his daily routine. In search of something new, he stumbles upon a door to Christmas Town. Overwhelmed by this new experience, Jack plots to bring a new set of traditions back home – even if he doesn’t fully understand them.
Directed by Coraline’s Henry Selick and based on a short story by the unmistakable Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas has developed a strong cult following.
With its unique blend of spooky and festive themes, gothic animation style, and off kilter musical numbers, the film is considered one of best animated films of all time and was the first of its kind to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is rated PG, as it contains mild scary scenes. For fans of Coraline, Edward Scissorhands, and The Grinch.
F-Rated: Written by Caroline Thompson
