Family Time: The Addams Family 12A

We are partnering with Celluloid Screams to present a special spooky edition of Family Time!

Celebrate “My First Celluloid Screams” by spending some quality time with The Addams Family.

Originally created as comic strip characters in 1938 by Charles Addams, The Addams Family have become one of the most beloved families in pop culture. In over 80 years, they have had their own live action and animated TV series, a modern CGI animated revival, and a hit spin off Netflix show, Wednesday in 2022, with episodes directed by Tim Burton, whose signature style is deeply in debt to the original characters.

The continued popularity of The Addams Family shows that there has always been an appetite for darkly comic stories for young and old alike!

The film follows the family when a man claiming to be Fester, Gomez Addams' missing brother, arrives at their gothic mansion home. Whilst at first the family is thrilled to be reunited, especially the children Wednesday and Pugsley, Morticia soon begins to doubt the truth of “Fester’s” claims…

The Addams Family is rated 12A, as it contains moderate bloody images. For fans of Coraline, Hocus Pocus, and Wednesday.
